AMD Introduces Radeon RX 6700 XT ‘Navi 22’ as Direct Competition to NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti
AMD has also officially confirmed that it will unveil its new Radeon RX 6700 XT RDNA 2 graphics card based on the Navi 22 graphics processor on March 3rd. According to previous rumors, launch and market availability is scheduled for March 18th. AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT will be the latest addition to the Radeon RX 6000 series of cards and aims to compete directly with the GeForce RTX 3060 TI which has an MSRP of $ 399.
We also have specifications for the Radeon RX 6700 series which includes both the RX 6700 XT model based on the Navi 22 XT and the Radeon RX 6700 graphics cards based on the Navi 22 XL. The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with full Navi 22 XT GPU SKU is expected to feature 40 Compute Units or 2560 stream processors, while the Radeon RX 6700 with Navi 22 XL GPU SKU will have a slightly weaker configuration.

The graphics card will contain 12 GB of GDDR6 video memory, along with a 192-bit bus interface. AMD will most likely use 16 Gbps matrices, which would allow a total bandwidth of 384 GB / s. Rumor has it that the Radeon RX 6700 XT will be offered in two variants, a version designed for premium models with a TGP of up to 230 W and a weaker version with a TGP of 189 W.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 series comes with two cooling fans
The card has a double axial fan design and has a large “R” logo in the middle and on the fans representing the Radeon brand. The card also has a Radeon logo on the sides lit by LEDs, so the whole thing looks pretty attractive.
There are two 8-pin power connectors on the card, but we can also see 8 + 6 or other configurations for variants optimized for more power. The card also comes with a two-slot form factor and should contain a similar I / O as the Big Navi graphics card. This cooler is expected to have a Navi 22 GPU that is slightly smaller but still larger compared to AMD’s Navi 10 (RDNA 1) GPU for Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards.
